Eight Year Old Hannah Holik of Wyoming Grabs Silver in the Adequan/USEF Pony Jumper Individual Championship
Hannah is a third grader attending Jackson Hole, Wyoming’s Jackson Elementary School. Of her pony, Frosty, a smiling Hannah said, “He sure is good in the jump-offs. When he hears the beeper, he just goes!” “My Mom got me into riding, and I really got into it,” said Hannah. “[I’ve been riding] for five years…and this is my very first Pony Finals.” Renee Holik, Hannah’s mother, had nothing but praise for her daughter’s performance, and her love of riding.
As any proud parent would be, Renee said, “Success comes with hard work…and she [Hannah] works really hard at it. I’m very proud of her.” But the Silver medal wasn’t the only honors that young Hannah took home from the competition. She was also presented the prestigious Style Award. The bronze medal went to Kaitlin Campbell of Doylestown, Pennsylvania riding Magic BB, a 16 year old, 14 ½ hand, New Forest Pony gelding. Kaitlin finished with four faults in a jump-off time of 43.150. |
