Win a Course Walk at Rolex with William Fox-Pitt

March 11, 2005 - Thanks to Niagara Equissage and Equine Products, LLC, five eventers and their partners or friends can win a course walk at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event with international superstar, William Fox-Pitt.

The CCI**** takes place April 28 - May 1, 2005 at the Kentucky Horse Park, in Lexington, Kentucky and attracts leading event riders from all over the world. Now in its eighth year as a CCI****, Kentucky is the only four-star event in North America and offers $190,000 in prize money.

William Fox-Pitt, who hails from Great Britain, has put together quite an impressive record, including in 2004 a team silver medal from the Athens Olympic Games, a win at the Badminton CCI**** and Saumur CCI***, and a fourth place finish at Rolex. In 2003 he won the Boekelo CCI*** and Luhmuhlen CCI***, finished third at Rolex, and scored a one-two finish at the Bramham CCI***. William made his Olympic debut at the 1996 Atlanta Games.

The USEA has teamed up with equine physiotherapy experts Niagara Equissage to offer five lucky readers a course walk at Rolex Kentucky, which includes free tickets to the event.

To enter the contest, simply mail, fax, or email the answer to the following question:

Which Olympics did William Fox-Pitt take part in?

Answers can be sent to amy@useventing.com, (703) 779-0550 (fax), or USEA, Attn: Amy Daum, 525 Old Waterford Rd. NW, Leesburg, VA 20176. Please include your name, address, phone number, and email address.

The deadline for entries is April 8, 2005. Winners will be notified shortly thereafter. They will win two three-day passes to the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, the course walk with William, and a Niagara Equissage sweatshirt and baseball cap.

William is sponsored by Niagara Equissage. Based at Sturminster Newton, Dorset in England, he has had a busy few seasons regularly competing in Europe and the U.S.

William, who is trained by Chris Bartle and Lars Sederholm, said, “I have used the Niagara Equissage pad for more than three years and found it very useful. It undoubtedly improves the horse’s performance.

“I use the pad for warming up the horses before exercise, and put it on in the afternoon to help with any stiffness and lactic acid build up that occurs after strenuous exercise. It provides the horses with gentle comfort and relaxation.”

The Niagara Equissage pad gives a deep cycloidal massage to the whole horse and due to the unique action of the therapy, the pad actively improves circulation, eases and tones muscles, and promotes lymphatic drainage.

The pad has been developed by Niagara Healthcare physiotherapy products that have been used on humans for both injuries and mobility for more than 50 years. It is widely used by top trainers and competitors in the UK, Europe and Australia, and is now debuting in the U.S. through Equine Products, LLC.
