Yves Sauvignon and Frankie Thieriot Win Eventing Championships

Temecula, CA - November 4, 2003 - Yves Sauvignon, of Santa Rosa, CA, riding the 9-year-old gelding, Jackson (Thoroughbred Cross) owned by Natalie Rooney of Temecula, CA, added three show jumping time penalties to their dressage score to finish with a total of 54.6 to win the USAE National One Star Championship and the Richard D. Collins Trophy. The Championship was held at the Jaguar Select Edition Three-Day Event at Galway Downs in Temecula, CA, October 30 – November 2.

Frankie Thieriot of Occidental, CA, riding the 10-year-old gelding, Fric Frac Berence (Selle Francais: Laeken – Tyrannie II) added 4 show jumping penalties to their dressage score to finish with a total of 62.6 to win the USAE National Young Riders Eventing Championship and the John H. Fritz Trophy also held during the Jaguar Select Edition Three-Day Event at Galway Downs.

  • 4th – Trinity (Dutch Warmblood: Jackson - Karola) ridden by Anna Collier
  • 5th – Belair (Thoroughbred: Polynesian Flyer - Tres Bonne; bred by Kenneth & Barbara Hebard) ridden by Ann Horrell
  • 6th – Macanudo (Thoroughbred) ridden by Lindsay Connors
  • 7th – Star Edition (Thoroughbred: Cari Jill Hajji – Maymoon by Windy Sands; bred by Woolsey & Yount) ridden by Kristi Nunnick
  • 8th – Las Trampas (American Holsteiner: Le Santo – Marinash) ridden by Jamie Philpott
  • 9th – Dewar's Profile (Irish Thoroughbred by El Prado) ridden by Mogie Bearden-Muller
  • 10th – Wild Rose ridden by David Adamo
