Olympic Champion David O'Connor Reigns Supreme at Kentucky Three-Day Event, Presented by Bayer

Olympic champion, David O'Connor, won the Rolex Kentucky Four Star Three-Day Event today with a foot-perfect performance riding Jacqueline Mars' 15 year-old gelding, Giltedge, to beat some tough international opposition. A double clear round by the Virginian and a score of 38.6 penalties, clinched the title for the third time for O'Connor as the overnight leader, New Zealander, Andrew Nicholson aboard Mallards Treat, and his compatriot Bryce Newman with Dunstan Inishturkm who was second after the cross country, both lowered rails and were consequently relegated out of contention. O'Connor also rode his Sydney Olympic gold medal partner, Custom Made, into third.
