USET Announces Partial Short List for the 2000 Sydney Games Eventing Team
Gladstone, NJ-May 25, 2000-The United States Equestrian Team (USET) has announced a partial Short List and alternates for the Short List to compete at the 2000 Sydney Games Three Day Event. The list of horse/rider combinations named to the Short List and as alternates to the Short List at this time are (in alphabetical order): Bruce Davidson of Unionville, PA, Eagle
Lion, owner: George Strawbridge Alternates Following Bramham CCI***, Great Britain, June 8-11, 2000 two more horse/rider combinations will be named to the Short List. Additionally, there may be other horse/rider combinations named as alternates to the Short List at that time. James Wolf, USET Director of Three Day Eventing Activities commented, "We are very fortunate to have such a strong list of horses and riders from which to select our Eventing squad for the 2000 Olympic Games." The Short List and alternates will be quarantined at Foxhall Farm in Douglasville, GA beginning July 7, 2000 where they will train with the USET Chef d'Equipe, Captain Mark Phillips. These horses and riders will compete in a mandatory Short List Outing at Foxhall Farm on July 21-22. Following quarantine, twelve horses will be shipped to Australia on July 31from Louisville, KY. The final squad of seven horse/rider combinations that will compete at the Games will be selected after their arrival in Australia. Related Links |
