Heather Bender
Heather Bender relocated her business, her horses, and her life, to Wellington, Florida in 2001 after 20 years in Southern California . As a youngster, Heather performed as a trick rider with her father, Jud Bender, and competed successfully in a barrel racing, eventing, and on the hunter-jumper scene, before choosing dressage as her discipline of choice. Riding Winwood, the talented Hanoverian by Wonderful out of Arisma by Amarillo, and owned by Joan Wurtle, Bender competed for the United States in the World Championships for Young Horses in Arnhem, The Netherlands in 2001. At the 2004 Dressage at Equestrian Estates, the pair won the USEF Qualifier Prix St George and Intermediare I with a score of 71.833%, virtually assuring her a spot in the USEF Intermediaire Championships.
