2007 Palm Beach Dressage Derby

And the Scores Keep Rising…

It seemed it wasn’t so long ago that a score in the 70s was a rare thing, but not so today. The quality of dressage horses in America has been on the rise and that’s reflected in the increasing number of scores that are in the 70s. After judging Saturday’s FEI Prix St. Georges, British FEI Judge Stephen Clarke expressed pleasure at the wonderful horses and riders he saw.

“It was a very good standard, a very high standard today,” he said. “We’re judging exactly at the same standard as we would in Europe or anywhere else in the world and we saw some really good riders and some beautiful horses. The nice thing is that wherever you go in the world, you see better and better horses We certainly saw our share of nice horses today.”
