Equestrian Triathlon™ Slated for Saturday, March 24, 2007 Attracts
Top Athletes and Sponsors
Limited seating and VIP tables are still available for purchase Wellington, FL – March 21, 2007– The Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon™ has teams comprised of some of the best athletes that polo, dressage and show jumping have to offer. The event will occur at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club on March 24, 2007. There will be four teams competing in this year’s event. The first team is sponsored by Zada Enterprises and Joe Zada. The team consists of Lauren Sammis (dressage), Robert Ross (jumping) and John Gobin (polo). Defending champions, FarmVet.Com and Christian Currey are looking very strong again in 2007. Currey will compete as the jumper rider, Kathy Brown as the polo rider and Darren Graziano as the dressage rider. Some celebrity coaches will be assisting team FarmVet.com to help them keep their winning edge. Ashley Holzer (dressage), Julian Hipwood (polo) and the famous Seaweed (jumping) will lend their expertise. R.V. Sales of Broward and Gigi Stetler sponsor team three with Bent Jensen (dressage), Chris Nevins (polo) and Olympian Nona Garson (jumping) as teammates. Stetler, a long time supporter of the event and the Equestrian Aid Foundation, will also serve as team coach. Team number four is sponsored by Dutta Transport, Alice Lawaetz and Tim Dutta. Kim Prince and Kevin Turner will be coaching this athletic team comprised of Kris Kampsen (polo), Georgina Bloomberg (jumping) and Susan Dutta (dressage). Along with the talented athletes, the Chef d’Equipes for this year’s event are second to none. Olympian and head of the Equestrian Aid Foundation, Robert Dover, will be on hand to advise teams on strategy as will grand prix rider and trainer, Michelle Grubb. Ronnie Beard, who is the founder of the Developing Riders Tour, and Tony Coppola, owner of the Tackeria and voice of the Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon™, will also advise the athletes on how best to win this year’s heated competition. The Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon™ is scheduled to run during the Zada Enterprises, LLC WEF Dressage Classic CDI-W CDIY on Saturday, March 24, 2007. It will be held during a break week for hunter and jumper riders between the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington and the two weeks of competition in Tampa, FL. The Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon™ raises money for the Equestrian Aid Foundation (EAF). EAF'S mission is to build a membership-based organization to assist anyone in the equestrian world suffering from life threatening illness or victims of catastrophic accidents and injuries by providing direct financial support for their medical and other basic needs. Their pledge is to treat clients with dignity and respect while promising their members the highest level of fiduciary responsibilities with their dues and donations. The Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon™ has become the premier equestrian and social event during the Winter Equestrian Festival. It hosts some of the most successful equestrians in the world, including past Olympians and is appropriate for spectators of all ages. The social scene is always in high gear at this unique venue. Admission: $10.00 Grandstand seating VIP Seating: Dinner and cocktails are served on Saturday during and after the competition. Individual seats can be purchased for $175.00 in the VIP tent, which includes the live auction and dinner. VIP Tables: VIP Tables (seats 8) in the front row are $1,200.00.
