Sunday, September 17, 2006 - All Four Finally Together

Keith had arrived. We were all here now. All four of us ParaEquestrian riders were grouped together, right around 12:00. I had my Intermediare II ride in the morning. Today was not as fluent as yesterday's ride, and our score reflected that. Rocky got all his tempis and was obedient, but he had more trouble with the balance today. I could not fault him. Missy had another good day with her two horses. She ended up both Second and Third Level High Score for the show.

Keith had a super ride with Bally Shannon (Paddy), and then did another of similar quality. Becca's freestyle, like mine, was fairly new to her, and she nailed it. James had another good ride, too. Rocky was very good for me, and his 68.4% was much higher than his score earlier in the day. Keith ended up FEI High Score of the show with his 75% ride. He was dumbfounded. This was the first year that ParaEquestrian had fallen under FEI jurisdiction.

Paddy was lame after his second ride. I took him in my trailer to Pennsylvania, with Rocky, so that he would not have to deal with the steeper ramp on Missy's big rig.

It was another three-hour drive to Missy's Blue Hill Farm in Pennsylvania. It was uneventful. My goal was to get there before dark, so that I would be able to see to turn my trailer around in the limited space in her upper barn. I was successful in that goal. I got Rocky settled into a stall, and went to stay with my sister in nearby Kennett Square.
