Hoag Wins Grand Prix Special at 2006 Dressage at Flintridge

Tami Hoag on Coco ChanelLos Angeles, CA- Best Selling Author and Grand Prix Dressage competitor, Tami Hoag’s left Florida in April to return to her home in California and take her horses on the prestigious California Dressage Society (CDS) circuit. Results from the Dressage at Flintridge competition last week suggests that Hoag is “out there a havin’fun in the ole California sun”!

Hoag rode her Grand Prix mare, Coco Chanel to win the High Performance Grand Prix Special with a score of 65.600%. “We had a many nice comments from the judges on all the tests,” said a happy Hoag wrapping up the weekend.

Hoag and Coco Chanel also finished second in the High Performance Grand Prix to Olympian Debbie McDonald on Brentina, the USEF Horse of the Year. Hoag relishes the high level of competition that the CDS shows offer. “I believe it is important to compete in the company of the best riders, riding in front of top judges. That kind of pressure pushes me to focus all the more and really stretch as a rider,” said Hoag.

That attitude also earned Hoag a score of 70.333% to finish second in the High Performance Grand Prix Freestyle.
