Horse: Bellinger, a 14-year-old Trakehner gelding by Maizauber, out of Belle Petite (by Habicht).
Quirks: "Billy" loves being read to. When an injury kept him out of work a few years ago, Lauren read him texts from some of her college courses.
Fun Fact: Lauren missed her college graduation to attend a Brentina Cup qualifier.

"I met Billy in Germany in 2003. Since then, we've qualified for three NAYRCs (earning a Team Bronze in 2003), trained in Europe, won several awards from the American Trakehner Association (including the Koenig/NowPac Prize for the Highest Scoring Young Rider in Dressage), earned USDF's Gold and Silver Medals, and made the transition to Grand Prix. We were Reserve Region 8 Champions at the Intermediare II last year. We've qualified for the Regional Championships at the I2 and Grand Prix already, so after the Brentina Cup, Billy gets to take a little break from the showring, and spend some quality time in turnout hassling my young horses."
