Young Rider Lindsay Challenges Her Elders in USEF National Dressage Championships

Preparing for I-1 Less Stressful

She moved up to Prix St. Georges and the I1 levels last year and “that was less stressful than preparing for the Young Riders,” insists the University of Kentucky senior. “My sister (25-year-old Reese) just missed qualifying last year when she was ranked 13th.”

“It was hard for her to miss (the finals) last year and for me to make it this one, but she said she would be my groom here,” notes Lindsay. Their mother, Margee Koffler, organizer of the U.S. Dressage Federation’s annual National Dressage Symposium at the Horse Park of Kentucky, made the 14-hour trip from the family’s Maple Crest Farm to the finals to be with her daughters.
