2005 Dressage at Devon Team
Liberty Wins The Junior Dressage Team Championships
Team Liberty had a great weekend at Devon. Head rider Noel Williams rode Horses Unlimited’s stallion Pik-L in a dazzling individual test to receive a well-deserved 73.128, which also clinched her spot as top overall individual rider for the competition. “Pik-L is am amazing horse! The first few times I rode him I could hardly breathe because he is just so cool! Cesar is such a great trainer and I am so privileged to be working with him.” Noel is also won the free week of board and training in Germany from Performance Sales International as a result of her top scores this weekend. Teammate Reena Idnani finished her individual ride with a 64.000%, Ryan Michelle Eskridge finished her rider with a 63.128% and Amanda Stearns put in a solid ride to receive a 65.744% combined score from the five judges. For most of these girls, this is their first experience riding in front of so many spectators and so many judges.
Last but certainly not least, taking home the bronze medal this weekend was Team Freedom. Kelly Gormley, Caroline Roffman, Eloise Aud and Jordan Meadow. All 12 riders put in super rides and had wonderful attitudes throughout the weekend. The quality of horse and rider talent was very strong and was very obviously observed by the judges. The Ground Jury was an all-star cast for the junior classes including Uwe Mechlem, Linda Zang, Joan McCartney, Barnabas Mandi and Martin Richenhagen. By Stacy Gormley |
