2004 Dressage at Devon - Breed Show Mimi Lufkin and Bop n' Jazz Show the Way September 29, 2004
"I liked his rideability very much," Dr Christmann said. "This horse was very well presented. He had three good basic gaits and gave a very good impression. The other horses in the class lacked in their level of training compared to the winner." Mimi Lufkin and her bay Swedish warmblood gelding Bop n' Jazz (Amiral x Zorn) were a pair that stood out in the 6-year old suitability class. The horse was uphill, on the bit and in balance during his performance, while Lufkin maintained a light and steady contact with the bit. "He's a little hot, but in a good way," Lufkin commented. "He's spectacular in that way and has a lot of brilliance. He is a horse that has much suspension and goes off the ground. He's like riding a cloud."
Lufkin, who trains with Jessica Ransehousen in the summer and with Kathy Connelly in the winter, has bred her dream horse. "I've been breeding for 30 years now and Bop n' Jazz is the horse I've been trying to get," Lufkin said. "My aim is to go to Grand Prix and having lots of fun doing it."
