Dressage Under the Stars at the Keswick Hunt Club for the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation for Spinal Cord Research

The numbers are in for the 5th Annual Virginia Celebrity Freestyle to benefit the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation for Spinal Cord Research. And they are impressive, having raised a new record amount of $53,220. The Virginal Dressage Association has always been known for their creativeness, innovation, and volunteers.

There is an enormous camaraderie and cooperative spirit with the membership and it is reflected in the events and programs they have as well as the shows they run throughout the year. A best of all they are great fun and know how to put on a party!

Attendance was close to 1000 people filling the grandstands, VIP Tent, and dotting the lawns surrounding the arena. The VIP tent offered a full course dinner and flowing wine.

In keeping with the spirit and energy of the creative members of the VADA organization, there was a day and night of enjoying Dressage at its most entertaining level.

Celebrity judges were invited to join technical judge; Anita Owen (S) based on their impression and was also asked to judge each ride on “impact”, on how the performance impressed them. While most of the celebrity judges had a connection to horses in various ways, this was a first time experience sitting in the judge’s box.
