Tom Dvorak, Double Winner at 2002 Dressage at Devon

Just like George Williams, did Tom Dvorak proliferate himself as a double winner at 2002 Dressage at Devon. Winning the Prix St Georges and Intermediaire I freestyle, Dvorak and his bay gelding Lenz are a promising combination for North American dressage. Canadian Dvorak rode to Joe Cocker music and his horse danced on the beat throughout the test. Strong half passes, large tempi's, well jumped pirouettes, all the ingredients were there for a super score. The judges offered him 69.335% which made Dvorak win his second CDI class of the show.

Coming in second were Cesar Parra and his chestnut Adonis. Riding to light Latin tunes, Adonis demonstarted very nice pirouettes and good trot half passes.

Only the tempi changes had a few glitches, causing the body of the horse to move of the diagonal. Nevertheless, Parra put down a solid test that was marked 67.750%.

Riding for Diamond Legacy Farm, Yvonne Barteau saddled Entheos for the Intermediaire I freestyle and scored 67.100%. The music was not really emotionally moving but it fitted her elegant horse. Bred by Holly Simensen, Entheos showed a steady collection in her test and bend easily through the body in the traversal movements. Steering her mare with a soft contact with the bit, Barteau rode to deserved third position.
