After enjoying great success at the CDI Amsterdam, Oldham-Dueck & Korona
placed 8th in the Short Grand Prix with a 66.29%, and 9th in the Grand
Prix Freestyle with a 68.78%. The Short Grand Prix was won by Holland’s
Arjen Teeuwissen & Gestion Goliath T (71.27%), and the Freestyle was
won by Spain's Beatriz Ferrer & Beauvalais (76.46%).
Snowbirds
in Florida
The first big dressage show of the winter season kicked off January
18-20 with the Gold Coast Opener held in Wellington, Florida. Canadian
competitors included Lisa Kostandoff with Wakefield who scored over
68% in the Training level division. The advanced division included Canadians
Julia Vysniauskas & Freuden Tanzer who won the Intermediaire I B Open
with a score of 66.55% while Chris Von Gartzen & Falco placed 5th with
63.250%. Vysniauskas & Freuden Tanzer also placed 2nd in the Intermediaire
freestyle with 68.50% with Von Gartzen & Falco earning 59.25% giving
them 4th.
