USET To Host Dressage Developing Rider Training Sessions
Gladstone, New Jersey - April 20, 2001 - In continuing its commitment to developing
promising riders and horses, the United States Equestrian Team (USET) will proudly host two
USET Dressage Developing Rider Training Sessions with 2000 Olympic Dressage Team Bronze
Medalists Sue Blinks and Christine Traurig.
The first training session will be held May 19-20 at the Brookside Equestrian Center in
Walnut, CA with Sue Blinks. The second session will be held May 28-29 at USET
Headquarters and Olympic Training Center in Gladstone, NJ with Christine Traurig.
The training sessions are open to Dressage Developing Riders, defined as individuals
who;
- Qualified for the 1999 and/or 2000 USET Intermediaire Long List. (The
Intermediaire Long List includes those horse/rider combinations who qualify and are
invited to compete in the State Line/USET Intemediaire I Championships);
- Competed in the 1999 State Line/USET Grand Prix Qualifiers and achieved a
minimum average score of 60% or above, but did not qualify for the 1999 Grand
Prix Long Lists;
- Competed in both the 1999 and 2000 State Line/USET Intermediaire Qualifiers and
achieved a minimum average score of 62% per year;
- The minimum age limit for a Developing rider is fourteen years of age.
Auditors are welcome to attend the sessions. The auditing fee is $30.00. per day. For
