Wall Street Gaining Points
In the Short Grand
Prix test, from which the top 12 qualify to ride in the Kur
(freestyle) German rising star Ulla Salzgeber came in second
to van Grunsven and Bonfire's score of 78.54%. Wall Street
the 9-year-old flamboyant gelding put a 72.88% on the score
board.

B-frame rider Heike Kemmer, who has an exciting horse in Albano,
made a surprising break-through. The Oldenburg Argentinus
x Grundstein I offspring made his international debut at the
1999 CDI Ebreichsdorf in Austria. In Amsterdam the bay gelding
moved up to a third spot with 72.20%.
Favorite
of the audience, Arjen Teeuwissen, followed his trainer, Sjef
Janssen, to Amsterdam, bringing out Gestion Goliath (KWPN
x Zebulon x Nieuwpoort) for the first time since the European
Championships. The combination placed fourth with 70.63%.
American Christine Traurig ended thirteenth with the Westphalian
gelding Etienne, the mount with whom she rode to victory 1998
Festival of Champions. With 64.83% the pair just missed the
cut for the freestyle, which takes the top 12 riders in the
Short Grand Prix test.
