Iron
Spring Farm
Like
the pioneers who settled the rolling Pennsylvania hillside three centuries
earlier, Mary Alice Malone, pioneered the American sport horse breeding
industry, importing some of the finest breeding stallions and mares
from Germany, Poland, and Holland, and accomplishing in 25 years what
took centuries to develop in Europe. (photo: terrimiller.com)
Preserving
a large part of the historical region with most of the 400 acre farm,
in a private land conservancy, a large band of broodmares, and an
evolving stallion base, live a happy life. Breeding top quality warmbloods
to their own mares, and to the mares of their clients, Iron Spring
Farm has created a legacy unprecendented in the American Sport Horse
community.
Iron Spring Farm celebrates its 25th year in business. The ISF Stallion program has produced
a total of 9 Approved Sons of which 4 are home bred, 4 Preferent mares, 39 Keur mares, 178
Star mares, 405 Stud Book mares and 260 First Premium foals to date.
They have set standard and developed an enviroment for the success
of the breeding industry in America, which has no doubt contributed
to the overall success and growth of the country's strengths in international
sport.
