Galant du Serein is a powerful, athletic Selle Francais breeding stallion from the famous Serein breeding farm in France. His bloodlines include the legendary sires Ibrahim and Almé. He is currently the highest placing dressage horse to come out of the French breeding program.
Galant began his performance life in the Belgian Young Horse Championships and made his Grand Prix debut with Hubertus Schmidt at the 2003 CDI Wiesbaden where they scored above 70%.
With Dr. Cesar Parra, Galant du Serein has won three Grand Prix or Grand Prix Freestyle at the CDIs in Florida, Paxton Farm and Raleigh in 2006. The pair has also competed in the World Cup Finals, CHIO Aachen and the Olympic Games. This year he will be competing at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany.
Galant du Serein is a beautiful horse with a very pleasant demeanor. He excels at the piaffe and passage. He is licensed with the NASFA, RPSI and the ISR/Old NA based on his performance record. Galant’s blood combines well with Thoroughbred and refined warmblood mares who need more bone and a greater substance. His foals have had success at inspection with his first foal earning Gold Premium from the RPSI.
