Stallion HorseMarket Presents;
Charismatic, inspiring, phenomenal. These are just a few of the words that have described the incomparable dressage superstar, Lingh. Offield Farms is pleased to bring this unrivaled athlete with incredible bloodlines to the United States for easy access for North American breeders. Lingh, formerly ridden by Dutch Team rider Edward Gal, was ranked as the number one dressage stallion and third overall in the world dressage rankings by World Breeding Federation of Sport Horse (2006 year.) Lingh’s competitive record is second to none. The two-time Reserve World Cup Champion was also on the silver medal winning team at the 2006 World Equestrian Games and the 2005 European Championships. Lingh earned the 2004 Dutch National Championship. Not only a huge crowd favorite, he consistently earns 8's and 9's from the judges resulting in scores in the high seventies and even as high as 85% in the freestyle. Lingh’s successful career, stunning conformation and legendary pedigree promise that he is a breeding sire of unlimited potential. Sired by the highly successful stallion Flemmingh (Preferent) and hailing from the breeding family 771, which has already produced seven approved breeding stallions, Lingh's pedigree traces to such legends as Landgraf I, Lucky Boy xx, as well as Uppercut xx. His dam, Gazelle, is a Ster Preferent mare by the sire Columbus. His workmanlike attitude, powerful, elastic movement and impeccable temperament all contributed to becoming a licensed breeding stallion for the KWPN in 2005. After five days of evaluation in Ermelo, the judges described him as "an honest and reliable stallion who is easy to work with." The KWPN conformation report said, "Lingh is a generously developed riding type stallion. The head is expressive. The neck has good length and shape. The shoulder is well developed. The croup has good length and is well muscled. The stance of the foreleg is correct. The bone of the legs has quality."
Hassler Dressage will handle all 2007 breeding activities for Lingh. "We are selecting mares for Lingh this year, given there is a limited inventory of his frozen semen and we wish to maintain a very high standard in his management," states Susanne Hassler. "We are committed to each breeder's success and ultimately, to perpetuating this inspiring stallion's legacy with quality foals to represent him for years to come." "Mares will be selected based on their quality as individuals and as producers." Hassler explains. "We recognize ‘quality’ as expressed in many aspects about a mare: the depth of her pedigree, her quality of conformation and movement, her production records to date, and her own performance history will be considered. We are also interested in selecting mares who are good frozen semen candidates." Interested mare owners should contact Susanne immediately, as the mares will be selected by March 1, 2007. "We are assessing Lingh's current frozen semen inventory and hope to freeze more before the end of this breeding season in order to satisfy more breeder's interests. We are also very excited about and supportive of Karin's competitive ambitions aboard Lingh and maintain his competition schedule as a high priority." Lingh is available to North American breeders via frozen semen (EVA Negative) with a Live Foal Guarantee for a two-year term. Mares will be selected based on sport and/or breeding results. Both Offield Farms and Hassler Dressage are committed to healthy foals and a successful outcome for breeders to this magnificent stallion.
