Veto is a stunning, 16.3 hand bay 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding by Monte Christo out of a Rubinstein mare. Veto was imported as a five-year-old and was competed successfully at the lower levels with an Amateur rider then moving into the Young Rider ring. Amelia Child and Veto competed at the Festival of Champions at Gladstone in 2012 and in 2013, went to NAJYRC anchoring his team for a bronze medal. As Amelia aged out of the YR division, she and Veto competed at California CDIs in the open Prix St Georges and Intermediare-I in 2014 with several top ten finishes and again qualifying for the Festival. In 2015 Veto has competed at the opening CDIs in CA placing in the top six at Burbank and San Juan Capistrano and most recently Del Mar where he finished third in the PSG, fourth in the I-I and First in the freestyle.

Currently he is schooling all of the Grand Prix movements with plans to move up to the Grand Prix later this year. Veto has a wonderful charming personality. He has no vices. He is cheerful and honest and always willing. He loves to show off and always puts forth his best effort in the ring. He is quite brave and good in any environment.

He has three expressive gaits with a big scopey extended trot and passage. His flying changes are straight and commonly receive eights from top judges. His walk is clean and relaxed. Veto is quite well behaved, hacks out happily and gets regular turn out. Veto has an excellent health record and has been cared for meticulously. He had a full pre-purchase exam in February 2015 with x-rays at Alamo Pintado Vet Hospital. Veto is a truly exceptional individual that is ready to continue his carreer with a lucky rider!
