"Smitty" is a beautiful, dark brown gelding by Sir Donnerhall, one of the most popular dressage stallions of 2008-2009. Sir Donnerhall's offspring impress repeatedly with their great style, modern type and subtle movements.
His dam sire, Jazz, was also the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses Leading Dressage Sire of 2008,2009 and 2010 siring a wealth of high producing broodmares.
Smitty (KWPN registered name Crescendo) was imported to our farm in 2015 from the Netherlands having competed at Z level dressage. After a few short months he was competing successfully in Florida at the Prix St George level. He landed in the top five for USDF Horse of the Year for Vintage riders in Prix St. George. The next season he went on to compete in the Intermediare-I and the Intermediare Freestyle to confirm his small tour abilities.
In 2017 Smitty competed at the 2017 USDF Region 3 Championships in Wellington Florida in a top field of competitors and in the awards at the Intermediare Freestyle and earning an invitation to the US Dressage Finals in Lexington KY.
Smitty is very light to the aids and nicely lateral and the flying changes are easy for any rider to learn. He is light in the bridle and also hacks twice weekly in a snaffle or double bridle. Smitty is a healthy and happy athlete and enjoys many hours of turnout and also his daily grooming. He is never grumpy or mean and tries hard to please his rider, whoever it may be. He also travels well and stands quietly for the Vet and Farrier.
