'Donk' is a stunning bay stallion that was purchased at the Hanoverian Elite foal auction in Verden in 2006. His Sire, Don Primero, has little left to prove in the world of international dressage, nor as a sire of top quality dressage competitors. He has been the world’s leading dressage sire for four consecutive years, and earned an incredible 194 index in 2003.
His Dam, Piroschka, is by the famous Pik Bube - a genius on the international dressage scene with a series of overwhelming international successes. Pik Bube has been a phenomenon, especially when teamed with the Donnerhall line.
'Donk' is an incredibly trainable and a very sweet natured horse. His movement is fantastic; very forward, uphill and with lovely cadence. To date, he has proven to be very competitive; winning or placing at the majority of competitions he attends at PSG, Inter I and Inter II level in the Netherlands, and has been campaigned solely by a Young Rider.
He made the final top three in the prestigious Aachen Challenge. He came a very close second and was awarded 'Best Produced Horse' across the competition - again proving his athletic talent, trainability and rideability time and time again.
He has also held an active place on the National Future talent Squad since 2012 and the National Australian Young Rider Squad since 2015.
He is an exceptionally quiet stallion with an attractive appearance. He has excellent manners and a self-assured character. He is a good size and has excellent gaits. His past squad selection history at both state and national level shows what great potential this horse has.
It is a very regretful and genuine reason for sale and he must only go to the best of homes. He was intended to be my forever horse unfortunately due to circumstance life has other plans...
