**Update! - Palousa San Sebastian is now training at FEI Prix St Georges level and competing, and winning, at 4th level.**
Born in the Netherlands and imported as 6 month old foal into the UK, Palousa San Sebastian is a full Black Leopard Spotted stallion with 3/4 Top Class Warmblood (Hanoverian/Trakehner) pedigree. He has superb conformation and height which he passes on to his foals, one of them who obtained ELITE premium with a score of 9.39 (5th out of 800 young horses).
He has been showjumping at 1.20/1.30m and has won at this level, now through his winnings British Showjumping Grade B showjumper.
Currently back in dressage training, at home at Prix St Geroges level. His dressage qualities are not surprising with Gribaldi and Wolkentanz/Weltmeyer in his pedigree, whilst his jumping qualities are heriditary from Volturno and Kostolany.
His sire, San Remo, is a black, 17hh stallion by Wolkentanz I (Champion of the Stallion Licensing 1993) by world famous sire Weltmeyer. San Remo is trained to Prix St Georges level. Both Weltmeyer and Wolkentanz have numerous Graded sons.
Great grandsire, Volturno, a 3/4 Thoroughbred (by Vollkorn XX) that was 2x German eventing national champion, and Two Silver Team Olympic Medals (1976 Montreal, 1980 France). When Volturno retired from eventing he was totally Sound.
Dam, Palousa Caprice (Dutch Appaloosa National Champion) is by Gribaldi (Palousa San Sebastian’s grandsire), a black 16.3hh international Grand Prix dressage stallion, who was at the World Final Dressage Cup in Las Vegas. Gribaldi who was graded KWPN, Trakehner, Hanoverian, Oldenburger, etc. died in 2010. He has been and still is very important for breeding, ranked 2nd 2016 dressage stallions list WBFSH, and very well known as sire of Totilas and many more Grand Prix dressage horses.
Palousa San Sebastian was Graded/Licensed WBS-UK (British Warmblood), where he was Sports Horse Register Champion 2009.
Palousa San Sebastian is EE (homozygous for Black) and LP/lp (Appaloosa gene, 50/50 chance for appaloosa color with solid colored mare, 75% chance with an appaloosa colored mare).
Don't miss out on this one! Palousa San Sebastian is unique, as he is a breeding stallion but also a sportshorse with exceptional color!
