Bella is forward-thinking, eager to please, with a great sense of balance giving her a particular talent for dressage training. She enjoys the work. Her training has come easy and she has progressed effortlessly and rapidly. Schooling all the FEI work, this modern uphill type will make a gorgeous partner for amateur or professional. Bella is solid in the 4's, 3's and 2's, and is currently schooling one-tempis, with very nice pirouettes. She is good for all the normal barn duties such as grooming, shoeing, turnout, as well as loading, and trailering.
In 2015, as a seven year old, La Belladonna CF showed Fourth Level and Prix St Georges, with scores consistently in the 70's at both levels. At the 2015 Palm Beach Derby in Wellington FL, Bella scored a 70.541% in the Fourth level test one on Saturday placing second. On Sunday Dorie and Bella scored 71.622% in the four one winning the class.
In the summer of 2015 Bella was ready to move up a level. She competed in her very first Prix St. Georges in June 2015. In her début show at St. George Bella finished first both days scoring 71% in each outing. La Belladonna was the high score FEI horse for the show. Bella is now schooling I-1, and ready to show I-1. We think she has the potential to show Grand Prix next year in 2017.
La Belladonna CF’s dam La Donnarina has produced three State's Premium daughters and two Verband's Premium daughters. La Donnarina is full sister to the Dutch Grand Prix stallion Don Primaire. La Belladonna was born here at Crosiadore Farm, and has been developed slowly and carefully only beginning her serious dressage work in her six year. Bella is a worker and a joy to train every day. The work is easy for her.
She is in training with Dorie Addy-Crow at Crosiadore Farm located in Trappe, Maryland, just south of Annapolis. For questions or appointment contact Dorie at, 717.413.2336, or email at email@example.com.
