Glamourdale, an enchanting black stallion, was named Champion of the 2014 KWPN Keuring. At his Stallion Performance Test, Glamourdale was placed second overall and earned scores of 9 for his canter and balance and 8.5 for trot, elasticity, rideability, and talent as a dressage horse. Glamourdale has continued to show great promise as he develops through the young horse classes. In 2015, he captured a 6th place finish in PAVO Cup Finals for 4-Year Olds. In 2016, Glamourdale made a return trip to the PAVO Cup Finals for a 4th place finish in the 5-Year Olds and placed 10th at the World Championships for Young Horses.
Glamourdale is yet another champion from the Lord Leatherdale-Negro combination that has proven one of the great combinations in KWPN breeding in recent years. The approved stallions Chippendale, Everdale, and Fairytale are also from this successful cross. Sire, Lord Leatherdale was Reserve Champion of his Stallion Performance Test and was a successful FEI competitor. The Lord Leatherdale offspring are competing at prestigious young horse competitions with great success. Glamourdale’s dam is a daughter of the Preferent stallion Negro. Negro himself was a very promising FEI talent and his offspring are winning internationally at Grand Prix, including of course the Olympic Gold Medalist, World Cup Winner, and World Equestrian Games Gold Medalist, Valegro.
The KWPN has recommended Glamourdale to improve conformation and movement in breeding for dressage horses and we’re excited to see his influence in the coming years.
