Abakadabra is a tall horse with expressive, manageable, and comfortable gaits. The canter is easy to organize and the trot is a dream to sit. He is light in the connection in both a snaffle bridle and the double bridle. He stands quietly and patiently on the cross ties and waits for his rider. He is a very friendly and sweet horse and runs to the gate when he sees a person coming to get him. He is uncomplicated in turnout and grazes peacefully.
This horse has a good engine and is well educated. He doesn't run through the riders aids but also doesn't need to be pushed along. His lateral work is easy and he is starting to work the steep half passes for the Grand Prix and also half steps. He can really sit for the pirouettes too. He can make series changes to two tempi's. Both the pirouettes and tempi changes can be highlighted in updated videos but the video attached is some basic work.
He settled right into our barn in North Central Florida after his journey from Holland and started eating his new diet right away. This is always a plus because everything is new and strange to the imported horses and we love it when they settle and eat right away.
He has current x-rays and an excellent clinical vetting. He has no history of lameness or illness and his show record is consistent with no gaps in competitions. He is used to kids, dogs, cows, donkeys and he loves other horses and is never grumpy. He isn't scared of needles or the vet and stands to be shod quietly. He likes to be braided and stands quietly for this as well.
AB hacks out by himself or with others in the big fields or in the forest and trails.
