Loxahatchee, FL- This weekend the Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center (VTRC) hosted its 6th Annual Wine Dinner and Live Auction. The event was held at the La Sierna Restaurant on Sunday, November 8, and all the proceeds benefited VTRC's Horses for Heroes program. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy a selection of excellent wines paired with a delicious meal prepared by Marcello Fiorentino, the owner and chef at La Sierna Restaurant.

"The dinner and auction were wonderful," noted VTRC Founder Ruth Menor. "Marcello and Diane outdid themselves again! Exquisite food and wine were paired with great company, which equaled a truly marvelous event."

There were 70 invited guests at this year's event, and they helped raise $28,000 for VTRC's Horses for Heroes program. This program offers therapy to United States' veterans. Many service men and women continue to return to the United States injured, and therapy with horses can help improve their lives.

This is the sixth year that La Sirena has hosted this unique event, which has raised over $150,000 for the organization. This year there were 28 auction items, which included many exclusive wines from all over the world. The attendees had an excellent time, enjoying the wonderful selection of wine and the delicious meal, while supporting this very worthwhile cause.

The VTRC is a nonprofit organization based in Loxahatchee, FL, that provides recreational and therapeutic riding instruction to people of all ages with varying developmental, physical, and psychological disabilities. The organization, founded in 1982, assists more than 350 adults and children every year, helping them gain a sense of accomplishment, greater independence, and a higher quality of life. The VTRC has received a "Premier Accreditation" rating from the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA).
