Young Horse Tests to Debut At Wellington

The Wellington Dressage Classic, a USET Qualifier, is featuring the FEI Young Horse Tests, Saturday afternoon in ring 2 at the WEF Showgrounds. The first time the classes have been run in Florida, riders will be preparing for the official qualifier to be held in April at Raleigh.

Many have expressed interest but little is known about the program, so as a service to our readers we are providing as much information as possible. DressageDaily has received special permission from the FEI to have the tests on our site horsesdaily.com, as a service for this new and exciting program for America.

Two American combination were represented last year at World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Arnhem, The Netherlands. Robert Dover finished 12th overall aboard Tara Stegen's KWPN gelding New Tango (by Contango x Saluut). Heather Bender saddled the Hanoverian gelding Winwood (by Wonderful x Amarillo) to gain valuable experience as American debutant at an event of such stature.
