the world record Champion Gestion Bonfire performed to a sold out crowd winning again with his Dutch partner Anky Van Grunsven topping an international field with an 82.29. Second place Dutch rider Arjen Teeuwissen, who lives in Belgium a 17th century fort converted into a dressage training facility, scored a 76.29 with Gestion Goliath T, a KWPN Gelding by Zebulon. "My horse is gaining trust in me, and listened better to my aids today" Teeuwissen said.
German rider Heike Kemmer put in a solid performance on Albano a 12-year-old Oldenburg by Argentinus, and expressed her pleasure in showing in Amsterdam in spite of the strong rivalry between the two countries.
