When Pati Pierucci wakes up each morning she says she has to pinch herself, because of her the life she lives. As head of Hampton Green Farm specializing in the development of the Pure Spanish Horse in America, Pierucci says “It’s like winning the Olympics everyday. Everyday something great happens that always seems to trickle down to my family.” Pierucci, married to her high school sweetheart Peter, now calls Wellington, Florida home. Peter, who once ran their successful quarantine, breeding and boarding operation in Virginia, now has a full time job in the environmental field for the State of Florida. Her three children, daughters Phoebe, Hannah, and son Ramey, are in school there, and when summer vacation begins they all head off to Fruitport, Michigan to Hampton Green Farms, North.
Fun loving FEI Dressage rider and trainer, Pati Pierucci has a passion for the Pure Spanish Horse, and shares that passion with anyone willing to watch and listen. After placing twelfth on the Bavarian stallion Highlife in the USET 2000 Olympic short list, Pierucci became enamored by the “designer” breed of the PRE (Pure Spanish Horse) when she met Hampton Green Farms’ Idilio, a Pegasus look-a-like stallion “the most unique Spanish horse I have ever seen.” Little did she know at that time, that one horse, whose name means “affair” would change her life, as she would leave her farm in Virginia with her husband and three children, and dramatically change the direction of her life.
