USET Foundation Announces Open House and Horse Farms Tour

The U.S. Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation has announced that it will host an Open House at the USET Foundation Olympic Training Center at Hamilton Farm in Gladstone, NJ, on Sunday, June 13 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., rain or shine. A tour of four elite local horse farms will also run in conjunction with the Open House from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Organized by The Community Alliance for the USET Foundation, the Open House will benefit the USET Foundation whose mission is to support the needs of America's high performance equestrian athletes and horses, which is especially important in this Olympic year.

There is no admission charge for the Open House, which will include a trade show with vendors lining the historic stables at Hamilton Farm. Other highlights will include unique equestrian demonstrations in the sand arena and a merchandise sale, featuring USET souvenir items with the well-known USET logo. There will also be a benefit raffle with prizes such as two tickets to the USET Foundation's “Our Big Fat Greek Olympic Send-Off Gala,” to be held on July 17, prior to our country's equestrian athletes heading off to the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

Food and beverage will be available and all guests will have an opportunity to visit the USET Foundation's beautiful trophy room, built in the early 20 th century. The public is invited to tour the facility, learn about the history and significance of the USET Foundation, and participate in fun and exciting activities for the whole family.

In conjunction with the Open House, the USET Foundation will also host a special tour of four area horse farms. Guests on the tour will experience the beauty of each farm's exquisite grounds, learn about stable design, and tour various indoor and outdoor arenas. The tour offers opportunities to see the manner in which some of the best private stables set up their tack rooms and wash stalls, the types of footing used in their arenas, and many other exceptional decorative and functional elements.

Tickets for the Horse Farms Tour are $20.00 per person, when ordered in advance of the event, and are limited to the first 100 reservations. Maps and entrance passes will be issued upon check-in. Any unsold tickets can be purchased at the Open House for $40.00 per person. To reserve tickets for the Horse Farms Tour, please call Chrystine Tauber at (908) 234-3464.

The USET Foundation supports the competition, training, coaching, travel and educational needs of America's elite and developing International High Performance horses and athletes in partnership with the U.S. Equestrian Federation.
