The FEI World Breeding Championship Dressage For Young Horses will be held June 21-25, 2000 in Arnhem, Netherlands.
The United States has recently received invitations to this competition for two five-year-olds and two six-year-olds horses. The tests ridden will be the FEI tests for 5 and 6 year old horses. These tests are available from the AHSA office (859) 258-2472.
Please spread the word to all interested owners, breeders, and riders who feel they might meet the criteria by scoring in the upper 60 to 70% in Second Level Test Three and/or Four for the five-year-old division, and Third Level Test Three for the six-year-old division.
The competition will be organized under the FEI rules for dressage. All tests are to be ridden in a snaffle, without a whip. All horses must have a studbook pedigree from a studbook which is a member of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses. The committees to move this through have worked as swiftly as possible to make this opportunity available this year, but the deadline is tight, the AHSA letter of Intent needs to be submitted by May 15.
