Uptown Moves to Germany

American owned KWPN licensed stallion Uptown will be stationed in Germany for the 2010 breeding season. The 2004 KWPN Licensing Champion (by Kennedy x Ubis) will stand at stud at Stallion Station Klatte in Germany. Owned by Toine Hoefs, Kathy Connelly and Al Guden of Hyperion Farm, Uptown was the highly acclaimed champion of the 2004 KWPN stallion licensing in 's Hertogenbosch and won the stallion performance test. Under Hans Peter Minderhoud Uptown aced the 2005 Pavo Cup Finals as a 4-year old and was reserve Pavo cup champion as a 5-year old. He also won the 2006 KWPN Stallion Competition and finished second in the 2007 KWPN Stallion Competition. The combination also represented The Netherlands at the 2006 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, where they finished fifth.

Then the successful partnership between Uptown and Minderhoud came to an end and Uptown was never again seen in the show ring. Two Uptown offspring are licensed with the KWPN society so far: Bojengel (dam sire Gribaldi) and Calm Pleasure (ds: Jazz).
