Update- November 8, 2010 - 200 more copies on the way from Australia offered in the USA only at shophorsesdaily.com.
We had to raise the price slightly to $80 to cover the huge costs to deliver the books to America in time for the holidays.
Chris Hector brought several boxes of his book “The Making of the Modern Warmblood”to Kentucky in hopes of selling it through a colleague at the trade fair, but alas, the strict rules of the organizers prevented that from happening. So we offered to post the book on shophorsesdaily.com where in addition to managing our services we have a growing list of products we love for sale.
One of the best parts of covering an international event like the Alltech/FEI World Equestrian Games, Lexington 2010 is the camaraderie we enjoy with our colleagues in the international press. Journalist Chris Hector and photographer Roz Neave from Australia are the dynamic duo behind The Horse Magazine in Australia. In addition to organizing successful travel adventures for Australians at big events like the WEG and Olympic Games, Hector and Neave have an intimate knowledge and appreciation for development of the Modern Warmblood.
Check out [#24011 override="Chris’s chapter on Gribaldi, the sire of Totilas" title="Chris’s chapter on Gribaldi, the sire of Totilas"]. This will show our readers the depth of information and insight offered in the 662 pages of over 20 years of research with photos, profiles, and interviews of most of the more important breeders and breeding experts. Over 144 stallions are individually examined with pedigrees and photos, all of the major Studbooks are profiled, and many of their key players interviewed. This is a work destined to become the standard reference for students of the Warmblood breed.
Please note: we only have a limited number of these books for sale in the United States.
