For the first time in the history of the US participation in the FEI Young Rider Dressage World Cup being held in conjunction with the Frankfurt CDI-W an American Young Rider has made it to the final putting the US Flag on the scoreboard in sixth place. Megan Davis, the 21-year old Young Rider from Stone Ridge, New York who is among other accomplishments the 2010 Collecting Gaits/ USEF National Young Rider Champion finished 6th in a field of 16 competitors in with a 66.% result in the Young Rider Individual test. "I cannot tell you how proud I am of Meagan — she is representing the US so beautifully." her long time trainer Lendon Gray said on her blog. Set to ride second at 6:59 euro time, we will soon learn of the outcome and get more photos! As the only rider competing in a helmet, Davis was commended during the prize giving ceremony of the class where she qualified for the final by Gustav Stalling of Sweden, president of the ground jury for being the only rider to do so.
Good Luck Meagan, we are rooting for you tonight!
