For the first time in history at the nice show in Maria Wörth near the lake of the Wörter in Austria an international double pack was held as a CDI3* had been added to the existing CSI3*. German rider Anja Plönzke who has been successful recently at the WDM show in Cannes now again took her chance and won all three classes showing her talented Le Mont d’Or. The only 10 year old Oldenburg bred gelding impressed by his uphill statue and wonderful movements in all three tests. His balance, rhythm and safety in all lectures are exemplary for his talent, a happy Anja Plönzke expresses: “And his intelligence and enthusiasm for learning stamps him! I am happy to have this extremely talented horse in my stable.”

Austria is a happy place for Anja Plönzke anyway, as the start of her international career was highlighted when she took the teamgold medal with the German Young Riders team in Salzburg in Austria in 1989. At that time she was training with Conrad Schumacher from Hofgut Neuhof. Anja says: “It was his guidance that helped me reach advanced level. I also worked with Oliver Luze at our home Gestüt Tannenhof which was of invaluable help. Now I have learned to find my way myself by giving a lot of thought to my horses and their individual training.”
Anja’s greatest success so far has been winning the Floodlight Freestyle in Aachen in 2005 on Tannenhof’s Solero TSF. “It was the ride of my life that night: simply perfect, in absolute harmony. I took all risks. The ride had all that makes our sport so unique and special. In the beginning of this year we sold Tannenhof’s Solero TSF to the Danish couple Lotte and Ole Vagner, sponsor’s of Andreas Helgstrand. However after my recent successes Le Mont d’Or justifies great hopes to be a good successor of Tannenhof’s Solero!”
Christian Schumach showing 17 year old Auheim’s Da Vinci was the most successful competitor for Austria in Maria Wörth, becoming runner up in all three tests. Schumach is from the Kärnter region of Maria Wörth, so he had many home supporters cheering for his tests. Renate Voglsang from Vienna also rode some tests to her advantage. With her 10 year old stallion Fabriano she became third in both the Grand Prix Special and the Freestyle to music, thus adding some Austrian atmosphere to the first international CDI3* of Maria Wörth.
