The new millenium has been good to Teri Miller of Bedminster, New Jersey and her 11 year old Swedish Warmblood/Thoroughbred cross, Impresario. While working with trainer and FEI rider Kate Moore, Miller caught the eye of four time Olympian and Moore's trainer, Robert Dover and who invited her to his Romance Farm in Wellington, Florida for the winter.
An adult amateur with a full time job as Project Manager for Prudential Insurance Company, her employer Carol Parkerson, allowed Teri to relocate for 3 months and work from a home office. Her Mom Dottie Matsu and boyfriend, artist Robert Strang, have been supportive for emotional and some financial assistance.
Impresario (aka Rio) is currently competing at Third Level and Dover feels he has the natural ability to climb to Grand Prix with a few years of training. Purchased in 1993, the chestnut gelding and Teri spent three years eventing before concentrating solely on dressage and have enjoyed much success as members of Eastern States Dressage and Combined Training Association (ESDCTA), as well as, competing at BLM and ABIG Championships
Impresario was bred by veterinarian, Julia Wilson, DVM, from the University of Minnesota. His sire was the approved Swedish stallion, U.S. Imperium, imported by Linda Zang and ridden to the upper levels of dressage by Anne Gribbons.
