Much of Elizabeth’s success as a trainer and competitor can be attributed to her mentors and top clinicians with whom she’s had the opportunity to train. After returning from England with a wealth of knowledge from Jennie Loriston-Clark, Elizabeth continued to seek training form the industry’s best.

During the 2007 and 2008 seasons in Florida, Elizabeth had the opportunity to get guidance from U.S. Dressage Team Coach Klaus Balkenhol. She also rode with Klaus in New York during the summer prior to his leaving for the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong.

“The experience of training with Klaus Balkenhol was a turning point in my career,” Elizabeth said. “Top trainers make a tremendous difference when you are goal oriented, especially when they are former Olympians. They zero in on issues you have and sort out problems very quickly.”

Last fall, Elizabeth participated in the Maplewood Warmblood Clinic riding Kosmos with Klaus Balkenhol and Dr. Gerd Heushmann. Dr. Heushmann painted Kosmos to show the joint and ligament function while training the Grand Prix movements.

Elizabeth studied with Steffen Peters while he was in Wellington, Florida.

“Everything I learned from the top trainers I have incorporated into my own style of teaching for my clients,” she says.

Elizabeth continues to work and train with leading international breeders and trainers.
