At the 2002 Atlanta Fall National Show in October, Suzanne Dansby-Phelps and her newest FEI hit Cooper, an 18.1 hand, ten-year-old Holsteiner gelding, (Coriall x Wanderin II), received a 68% score in the Intermediaire II. It was only their third competition ride together as a newly "wed" dressage pair. Suzanne and her Holsteiner Cooper continued their blooming success as a duo, riding their very first Grand Prix test at the ABIC/USDF Region 3 Finals in in Camden, South Carolina only one month later.
The USDF Region 3 Dressage Finals , presented a huge personal challenge to Suzanne. "I rode Kasper in the same class only 35 minutes later in a different FEI test, the Intermediaire II to score 65%," Dansby explained with pride. She considered it a true personal challenge to ride her first Grand Prix test ever and then making the switch from one FEI test to another in such a short time. Highly able to manage show stress and FEI level competition, Suzanne is ready to tackle the 2003 Dressage Show Season with great enthusiasm.
