Sue Blinks and Flim Flam, On Top


Passing the 70% mark in the Grand Prix CDI-USET Qualifier for the Grand Prix Special during Wellington CDI-W Dressage, Thursday, March 16, 2000, were USET veterans Sue Blinks and Film Flam. The Hanoverian by Wilhem Tell I out of Cilia by Cavalier, competed in his first selection trial since being injured last June in Aachen, Germany during the awards ceremony. Blinks and her long time partner which she has trained all the way to Grand Prix is owned by Fritz and Renata Kundrun, and Dressage Sponsor Corporation.

Blinks represented the USET as a member of the World Equestrian Games in Rome 1998. In 1999 Blinks and Flim Flam were part of the "Elite Tour" of USET Dressage riders selected to compete and train in Europe. During her European stay Blinks spent time with trainer Dr. Uwe Schulten Baumer, also trainer and mentor to the reigning individual dressage Olympic gold medalist, Isabelle Werth from Germany. Helping her in America is longtime friend and colleague, Jane Savoie.
