Wellington, FL - From world-class riders to renowned judges, ShowChic has continuously inspired the dressage community through the Shop Talks hosted at the ShowChic boutique in Wellington, Florida. The events have been much-anticipated by dressage riders and enthusiasts, who have flocked to the ShowChic boutique each month for the chance to learn from the best -and, of course, do some shopping in high-style equestrian fashion. Most recently in the ShowChic Shop Talk series, attendees listened intently to Betsy Steiner and Kathy Connelly’s dual presentation. The March 31 Shop Talk featuring Steiner and Connelly was entitled “The Power of Positive Riding: Everyone Can Do It With Great Results.” The experts shared insightful tips about how equestrians can be leaders for their horses, so that equine companions can develop confidence in their riders. The two also shared ideas for building riders’ self-confidence, including pointing out that riders need to remember to give themselves credit for their accomplishments in the ring.
Next up on the Shop Talk schedule is the April 21 Shop Talk. Four equestrian professionals will speak at this event - Lars Petersen, Marcia Pepper, Mikala Gundersen, and Janne Rumbough. Grand Prix dressage champions Petersen and Gundersen - who recently finished the 2015 Adequan Global Dressage Festival as the top two most winning riders (respectively) in the circuit - will be arriving at ShowChic fresh from competing in the 2015 Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage and Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada. Petersen will be competing on his famous Grand Prix partner Mariett, and Gundersen will be doing likewise on My Lady. Marcia Pepper, who owns Mariett, and Janne Rumbough, who owns My Lady, will join the two at the April Shop Talk. The Shop Talk will be entitled “The Sponsor-Rider Relationship: What’s In It For You,” and the four will discuss the nature of the relationship between sponsor and rider, and how such relationships can be advantageous to the sport.
ShowChic is thrilled to host this next set of experts and looks forward to the April 21 presentation.
“We really enjoy hosting so many experts at ShowChic,” said Michele Hundt, owner of ShowChic. “At ShowChic, we’re dedicated to the sport and passionate about dressage— so we are always happy to give back to dressage enthusiasts and competitors, and contribute to the equestrian community at large.”
Thanks to the sponsorship of Diamante Farms, anyone who misses attending the Shop Talks in person will soon be able to find them online on the ShowChic YouTube page. Afflux Studios of Wellington will be filming the events.
