The Southern German Breeders Association (a cooperation between 5 individual breed registries) is preparing for the 2011 Marbach Weekend. It is the 8th time that the stallion licensing will be combined with the sport horse auction. Many successful horses were discovered at this auction, among them FBW Sam, the individual eventing gold medal winner of the 2010 WEG. Last year's licensing champion, the spectacular stallion Jack Sparrow, was just purchased by Edward Gal's sponsor, and has moved from Baden-Wurttemberg to Holland to start his training with Edward Gal. Fifteen 3-year-old stallions will be presented for licensing under saddle on November 5th, 2011, representing all the leading bloodlines in Europe. Several of them will be added to the auction lot the next day.

For the auction, thirty-two mares and geldings between the age of 3 and 6 have been selected, some of them already big stars in the show ring, such as the Southern German Champion Da Capo (Dancier x Lanciano), or the winner of the Baden-Wurttemberg State Championship, the mare Quintina (Quaterback x Diamond Hit). **See video below** Other famous dressage bloodlines that are represented are Fidertanz, Herzruf, Don Diamond, Caprimond, Weltmeyer, Disco-Tänzer, Day Dream, French Kiss, Hohenstein, Sandro Hit, Donnerhall, Welt Hit I, just to name a few.
