The Paddock Equestrian Center’s owners, Mary Mattingly and her husband, both come from a medical background. Mary shared, “I started at Johns Hopkins as a step down nurse and then moved to Michigan where I worked in emergency medicine for 10 years. During this time I had my own private farm at home, but was unable to have them home during the colder months because I only had an outdoor arena. Every year I could not find the system I was looking for. But now I have created the perfect place with all the things needed for a year round working dressage farm.”

Recently, a pole barn was built for hay storage so that all the hay moved out of the barn for safety, as well as for environmental health.

The barn manager lives on site and guides the care of each horse with the partnership of owner, Mary Mattingly. Feeding, turnout, cleanliness of the facility and overall care of each individual horse is provided. Mary is passionate about providing the best environment for the horse.
