On 15, 16 and 17 April 2011, Hermès will stage the second Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais, Paris. Over three days, the world’s finest horsemen and women will demonstrate their skill under the great glass roof of the Grand Palais as they take part in the seven events of an international show jumping competition graded CSI 5* by the Fédération Française d’Équitation (FFE) and the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI).
As organiser of the event, Hermès is once again working in partnership with GL Events, entrusting the group with the running of this year’s Saut Hermès. As in 2010, Hermès and GL events are drawing on the expertise of French rider Michel Robert in preparing this equestrian competition.
For this 2011 event, Hermès will be welcoming the world’s top 35 riders, as well as the 15 best young European riders, who have been invited to take part in two special new events.
The 4,000 spectators will also enjoy an equestrian show created specially for the occasion and, discover the many different facets of the world of Hermès in a series of specially created spaces around the Grand Palais.
In partnership with the Fédération Française d’Équitation, Hermès is offering free admission for FFE members on Friday 15 April.
Ticketing is open to the public. Tickets will be on sale on the event website www.sauthermes.com and at the usual retail outlets.
In April 2010, the first Saut Hermès established itself as an event of international stature. With this second event, Hermès confirms its desire to revive and develop the tradition of equestrian competitions at the heart of Paris, here in the Grand Palais, which hosted such events from 1901 to 1957.
