Rosebrook Farm, in Georgetown, Massachussetts is pleased and excited to host the Northeast Markel/USDF 2013 Young Horse Dressage Training session for the second year, scheduled for April 13th and 14th, with the USEF Young Horse Coach, Scott Hassler. This year, DressageDaily's Mary Phelps a Markel Equine and Farm Specialist will be on the scene! Rosebrook Farm is one of the North East's premiere dressage facilities owned and operated by Grand Prix trainer, Cindi Rose Wylie, and her partner, USDF Treasurer, Steve Schubert. Cindi's training operation at Rosebrook has had great success in working with horses from their first steps under saddle through the Grand Prix level. "We are so very grateful to Markel for sponsoring this exciting USEF program." Cindi says. "It is essential for talented young horses to get a correct and solid foundation in order to fully develop to the peak of their abilities. We finally have great breeding programs in the US producing top quality horses, and now through this program, owners and riders can become better educated as to how to successfully develop them. Scott's leadership and guidance are essential ingredients to the future of international dressage horses in this country. We look forward to seeing his efforts as part of this invaluable program pay off in the years to come. We are simply thrilled to be given the opportunity to be a part of it."
Cindi has been actively involved in the Young Horse program since 2010, when she competed the two Westfalen's, Edelrubin and Folcano, then owned by Shooting Stars Dressage Horses, LLC, at the National Young Horse Championships. At that time, Cindi was also trainer to Makenzi Wendel and the Majestic Gaits Hanoverian stallion, Schroeder, who participated at the Championships in the six year old division. Schroeder is currently in training with Cindi for the winter months and to make his PSG debut later this year. Makenzi is now an assistant trainer to Cindi, and has extensive experience in working with Young Horses from their first steps under saddle through the 6 year old level.
Cindi and Steve are active members in a partnership that currently owns several talented youngsters, both in the US and in Germany. Rosebrook Farm is located approximately 35 minutes north of Boston off of Route 95. The farm boasts all the amenities to keep it's young horse and amateur clientele happy and comfortable, including a bright and airy 80x200 indoor arena, a 100x200 outdoor arena, heated observation areas, etc.
