The warm tropical weather has finally returned to Florida in time for a mega weekend of world class Showjumping, with the Irish Team taking the victory in the Samsung Nation’s Cup yesterday evening. The much anticipated Challenge of the America’s Dressage performance is tonight a Benefit for Breast Cancer Research, to a sold out crowd.
Also going on all weekend is the Young Riders clinic sponsored by Weiss Family Chiropractic, and Two Swans Farm. In town are Olympians Lisa Wilcox, Debbie McDonald, and Robert Dover, along with fellow World Equestrian Games teammate, Steffan Peters. A special party for participants will be hosted at the Weiss’s home overlooking the International Polo Club.
The party of all parties follows at 10PM, The Spring Fling, the annual circuit celebration. The jumpers head off to Tampa next week for the American Invitational, and the Wellington CDI Dressage will have the showgrounds to themselves March 17-20. A Benefit for The Equestrian Aids Foundation, the soiree is hosted by Robert Dover, Jenny Dunlon, and Georgina Bloomberg, the Resort in City Place. Tickets for just $25 are available at Bevals, Hatfileds, Coffee and Java Connections. VIP Tables are also available. For more information please call 1-800-792-6068.
Have fun everybody, and don’t drink and drive!
