Hilltop Farm Builds Up Ribbons' Collection at Dressage at Devon
First day of 2001 Dressage at Devon was a blast for Maryland based Hilltop Farm. Victory ribbons are piling up at the enterance of their barn section here in Devon and make their temporary headquarters the most colorful vista on the scene.
Hilltop's day of victory started with a third place in the Yearling Fillies class for R'Ferrari (Riverman x Cor Noir), a third for Rivano (Riverman x Capitano) in the Yearling Colts and Geldings class, a first for Florette (Festrausch x Continue) in the 2-year-old Filly class and a second for Contigo (Contucci x Banter) in the 2-year-old colts and geldings class.
But it was Ria D'Or who became Hilltop's most praised product. Bred with Hilltop's own premium bloodlines, Ria D'Or has Riverman as sire and Cor Noir as dam sire. Reigning supreme in the 3-year-old Filly division, Ria D'Or moved onto winning the Filly Championship and the Young Horse Championship, beating stable mate Contigo. With both the Champion's and Reserve Champion's ribbon pinned to the wall, Hilltop Farm immediately felt ready to party Tuesday evening.
According to Hilltop Farm "Riverman has produced more premium foals than any other stallion in North America. His North American foal crops, since 1997, have delivered high percentages of premium offspring across the registries. Annually, his offspring earn Championship titles at breed shows. In 2000, Riverman had the #3 foal in the country for the NA/WPN. His influence extends across the Holsteiner, Oldenburg, Swedish, and Dutch registries with sparkling results."
